"Calzones"

The kids requested calzones last night for dinner. When I asked them what they would like in them, I realized they are not traditionalists when it comes to calzones. Maybe these are more like a stromboli in a way. Either way, they came out delicious and everyone was pleased.

Herb filled crust with chicken, barbeque sauce, peppers, onions and mozzarella.






Pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, onions and peppers fill these ones.

  2. They were delicious! We didn't put sauce in them (only the bbq ones), but served the sauce warmed, on the side. So Yummy!

  5. Had a question about the dough. Nancy and I were talking and we both have the problem of the dough springing back when your trying to roll it out big enough. So, say I roll it out to 12 inches then it shrinks back to say 8 inches, is there a way to make it not do that? Thanks for any advice!

  6. Sorry, I just noticed this comment. No, it generally does shrink back as you roll the dough. I often let mine warm up on the counter a little while before I bvegin to roll it, and that helps a little. Otherwise, I just work it and work it! lol
