Sausage, Peppers and Onions

This is a favorite of hubby and the boys. We have often eaten it as an appetizer, or in rolls. This time hubby requested it over pasta. It's a pretty easy recipe, that you can let simmer in the crock pot all day long. The longer, the better!

  1. Also interested in this if you give out the recipe! :) My son is getting ready to come home before his deployment and I'm trying to find new things to make for him. Will be his last two weeks of home cooked meals for a year! :(

  2. This is a super easy recipe!
I buy sweet italian sausage links (sometimes add a few spicy ones too). Bake them in a pan in the oven till done, slice into 1/2 inch pieces (approx.)
Put in crock pot with onions and peppers that you have sliced into rings.
Cover with 1-2 jars of your favorite store bought tomato sauce (and sometimes a tiny bit of water if needed . . . maybe 1/2 cup of so).
Put the lid on, and cook all day long.
Serve over rice, pasta, in sub rolls, or as you like!
